From Turbo Pascal to the Wild
My story is one of two worlds: the structured logic of high-level software development and the untamed beauty of the Kruger National Park.
I’ve been writing code since 1989, back when the digital world was defined by MS-DOS and Turbo Pascal 3. Over the last three decades, I have designed and deployed national-scale payphone software and architected complex full-stack solutions for the corporate world.
Whether it’s managing massive datasets in Oracle and MS SQL or building modern, AI-driven applications in Firebase Studio and AI Studio, my goal has always been the same: to solve real-world problems with elegant, efficient code.
Why KrugerHelp.co.za?
While my professional life is spent in the cloud, my heart has always belonged to the Kruger National Park. I am a Kruger Fanatic who has logged thousands of hours on these roads.
I realized that while there are plenty of information out there, there was a gap for something more—something built with a developer's precision but a fan's passion. I built this platform to provide the technical "Help" tourists need, combined with the "Wisdom" the bush provides.
The Intersection of Tech & Wildlife
KrugerHelp.co.za is the result of merging these two lives. I’ve taken my experience as a full-stack developer and combined it with my local knowledge of the park to create a digital guide that is fast, reliable, and truly helpful for fellow visitors.
I believe that modern technology, specifically AI and real-time data, can enhance the way we experience the bush without taking away from its raw, natural essence.
